Originally from South-East London I now live in York with my husband and son. I always loved taking photos, but I was actually a professional actor for 25 years. I started Abby Warren Photography in 2011

My Husband and I got married in Vegas. We didn’t have an Elvis impersonator because we thought it was a step too far, but we actually regret it now… go big or go home!

I am a television and film addict and my fav film is Jaws. If you haven’t seen it ‘The making of Jaws’ documentary is definitely worth a watch.

I have a phobia of Sellotape which my friends find hilarious… I understand it is completely irrational, but for some reason sellotape makes me cry. Christmas is a nightmare for me.

I love animals, but I am not a fan of ones with no legs or too many legs. My dream is to kiss a Kangaroo on the nose, but that is unlikely, so I will settle for cuddles with cats and dogs.

I hate having my photo taken so I feel your pain. I make it my mission to make sure that you feel confident and have a relaxed, happy experience.

When I started out I was a headshot photographer, which was a natural progression from acting. I have tried other areas of photography, but for me people are the most interesting subject. When I first did weddings I saw that it was similar to theatre; costumes, set, props and a story… the idea that I can weave a love story through images is so exciting.

I am chatty and confident with large groups of people which is very helpful at weddings. To find out more about what to expect on the day view my weddings page.

Whether it’s headshots or your wedding day, my aim is to create a relaxing, fun space in which my clients can express themselves.

“On the day I felt that I had another family member helping to make our day so special and both my husband and I would highly recommend Abby to anyone looking for a wonderful photographer.”
